Panasonic 100GB triple-layer BD-RE XL cost $120 apiece

Panasonic Japan has announced the first triple-layer 100GB recordable BD-RE XL, a long name for a format of optical media with large capacity. Set to hit shelves April 15, the new drives to store approximately 12 hours of 17Mbps HD terrestrial, or 8 hours 40 minutes 24 Mbps HD.
